We are currently seeking an enthusiastic sales support person to join our skilled team. The role is collaborative and there is a good opportunity for progression within the company. 

General workshop responsibilities:

• To contribute to maintaining a clean and efficient workshop.

• To have the flexibility to sometimes vary working hours to suit production needs.

• To understand and adhere to the company’s Health & Safety policy including when the use of PPE is compulsory. To alert the Manufacturing Manager of anything that you feel could affect H&S.

• To show good time keeping.

• To have a reliable attitude towards wrapping, loading / unloading and assisting in the spray department.

• To act as an Ambassador of the company when on site and/or client facing.


Making requirements in addition to those described for the Furniture Maker level:

a. Competent and consistent with complex veneering, veneer allocation and veneer planning.

b. Competent with setting and adjusting more complex machinery (Edge bander, Speed sander, veneer jointer etc.)

c. Able to see all the steps to completing a complex project both independently and without unnecessary stages.

d. Experienced with all normal site fitting & installation techniques.

The following skills will also be expected of a Senior Maker:

a. Ability to plan and schedule hours for a whole project or part of a larger project.

b. Ability to time manage yourself and members of your team to ensure that the program is me.

c. To help and assist team members to learn and progress.

d. Responsibility for quality within your work and for anyone within you team.

e. Ability to stand in for Project Leaders or look after aspects of a larger project under a Project Leader. Alternatively smaller jobs might be looked after independently.

f. To take part in and contribute positively to ‘post mortems’ at the end of projects.

g. Contribute to the ‘House Keeping’ at Opus Magnum and to encourage others to follow by example.

h. Promote and ‘Champion’ the Opus Magnum ethos.
