Boathouse
Architect: Alex Cochrane Architects
Modernising a Victorian boat keepersā lodging which overlooks the lake of Virginia Water in Windsor Great Park, Berkshire.
From a Victorian boathouse to a writerās retreat.
Tasked with manufacturing the interior items for this space by Alex Cochrane Architects, we incorporated oak veneered panelling & low-level units throughout the space which seamlessly include ample storage, seating & areas to work.
Open plan, with large windows at either end of the building, the space incorporates three āinterlockingā living zones, perfect for reading, working, eating & sleeping whilst balancing traditional detailing within the space with contemporary design solutions.
Material led with a minimalistic aesthetic.
Oak veneered panelling & honed Carrara marble compliment the original timber framework of the building & encourage light to flood through the space whilst accentuating the solid Douglas Fir flooring. The result, a spectacular interior & a beautiful space to live, work, entertain & relax.
